Come Sail Away with Me!

Introducing our Sailboat Invitation.

We’ve shown it here as a fabulous Save the Date for a coastal wedding.  This card is perfect for any coastal wedding occasion:

  • Nuptials on the Beach – This card would be a perfect wedding invitation for a couple tying the knot next to the ocean!
  • A Yacht Club Reception – Anyone planning a wedding at a beautiful venue near the water could use this card to reflect a simple and elegant event!
  • A Nautical Rehearsal Dinner: Perhaps this invite would let guests know they are in for a “nautical” time at a favorite seafood restaurant!

(This invitation is also perfect for a sailor’s birthday party or a evening dinner party.)

We’ve added an idea board of a perfect coastal wedding because the sailboat invitation led to this inspiration!

The nautical theme is a fun one and can be done with a palette of beautiful colors and thoughtful touches.

  • A color palette inspired by the sea and the sunset: Use a rich dark blue for bridesmaids dresses, navy suits for the groom and groomsmen with a powder blue tie to pull in light blues.
  • Flowers can add pop and we thought pulling in a variety of peach and coral colored flowers would do just that.
  • Clean simple lines create a classic bride and groom.  A simple navy suit and a beautifully simple gown let the bride and groom’s happiness shine.
  • A few simple nautical touches can tie together a theme (too many can take away).
  • Try rope napkin rings on the dinner table or silver sailboat card holders.
  • Your bridesmaids or guests would certainly love a bag made from recycled sails for the beach!
