Weekend Fun Reading: Garden & Gun

We love to read magazines, especially on a slow weekend.  Garden and Gun happens to be one of our new favorite magazines.  They are, “The Soul of the New South.”

At Coyne and Pinckney, we really believe in products that are not only locally made, but locally made well.  One of our company goals is to continually be an authentic Lowcountry product.  We believe that if you make a product well, it will relate to not only the locals from which it is inspired, but anyone who enjoys a well made product.  We only hope that our stationery can follow in the footsteps of Garden & Gun.

This may be a bit of a book report on a magazine but here goes!  It is refreshing and smart to see a magazine with clean layouts, vibrant and crisp pictures and stories that encompass all aspects of living in the south.  What I think is most impressive is that the magazine can be enjoyed by more than a Southern readership.  The stories are interesting and fun for tourists, visitors and anyone interested in the area.  Sometimes, the articles are focused on buying great gifts or showcasing items that are umm, a wee bit expensive ! However, the meat of the magazine focuses on articles about traditional American crafting, cooking or ways of life that may have fallen by the wayside in our modern life.

Anyway, we enjoy this  magazine and it is based in one of our favorite places, Charleston! Pick up a copy, you may enjoy it as well! And tell us, what is on your coffee table?
